It'll be post-Britain's Guy Fawkes Day, but…BANG anyway!
Somewhat in reverence of the explosive British holiday Guy Fawkes Day (November 5th), from 6 - 8pm I'll be sending some dynamite finger picking guitar and vocals your way from such firecracker Brits as Cat Stevens, Donovan, Ralph McTell, Ewan MacColl, The Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, The Fureys, Bert Jansch and more.
Plus, songs by American artists who did not wish to blow-up the British Houses of Parliament - like Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel, Little Feat, John Prine, Willie Nelson, Nilsson, Tom Paxton, Randy Newman, Gordon Lightfoot, Townes Van Zandt, Tim Hardin, Tim Rose, Buffy Sainte-Marie Paul Simon, and many more.
Guy Fawkes day always falls on November 5th in Britain. Lets have a BANG for them a day later… on the 6th!
Got a favorite artist? Ask me a question about any music luminaries from the 50's to the 90's. As a music journalist in London, I may well have met them, if not written about them way back when I had straight hair. Might even know a song by one or two of them...chances are pretty good.
