Getting hacked is a growing concern for families and businesses. Detective Ray Marrington will present Protecting Yourself from Cyber Crime at the November 12 meeting of SWOCC & Beyond. Open networks, common/weak passwords, remote access, viruses, phishing scams, malware, spyware, ransomware, firewall use, and security updates are some of the subjects that will be discussed. Free and low cost protections for users will be covered. Detective Marrington will also touch on recent scams that have been in the news involving individuals posing as law enforcement or the Social Security Administration.

Join us for an informative evening Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Curry Campus in Brookings. This event is free and open to the public.
