Despite being on hold for COVID in 2020, the largest community bazaar on the South Coast of Oregon is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021.....the 51st annual event! The event planners are ready to uphold all state and school district regulations. Plan to bring your masks, as will all our vendors, but if you forget we will have them at the entries along with hand sanitizers. With the help of everyone attending, we are planning a safe and exciting event. At this date, over 90 vendors are registered and ready to go! Want to be a vendor? Since the 2019 successful 50th year of the Bazaar, things changed. For one, the originators of the Bazaar turned the event over to other capable hands and similar goals. From the Brookings Nite Family Community Education group (through Oregon State Extension Service), the event passed to Brookings Chapter GE, P.E.O. PEO is an international organization dedicated to helping women attain further education through scholarships and loans. The Chapter GE members worked beside Brookings Nite for 2 years to learn the Bazaar from the ground up, and were so excited to take over the 51st annual event on their own.

Of course, no one planned on the Covid-19 virus epidemic. Unhappily, the 2020 Bazaar was postponed in an abundance of caution.

The Brookings Harbor Community Bazaar will be held this year on November 13, 2021, at the Brookings Harbor High School cafeteria and the Azalea Middle School gym in Brookings, OR. The only thing that would cause cancellation now would be a severe uptick in Curry COVID cases and changes because of that to state and School District regulations. Vendor registrations began on September 1st, and were met with ethuesiasm by previous and new vendors alike.
