Build-a-Platter Workshop
This is a 2-part class (10/13 and 10/27) designed to give you a taste of hand-building pottery!
You will be using pottery clay to build a platter in a fun environment, just don’t expect to use a wheel.
In the first class, you will learn the skills of rolling out a slab, texturing it with various techniques, cutting clay to shape, draping it over a form, and finishing the surface.
In the second class, you will learn several techniques to glaze your platter and how the kiln is loaded and fired. Your piece will be bisque between classes, and you will be able to pick up your glaze-fired piece a week after the last class!
COST
$50 for Members, $55 for Non-Members
$25 Materials Fee*
includes clay, glaze, two firings, and there will be tools available to use.
