What is this?
The award-winning duo of Eric Zivian, pianist, and Tanya Tomkins, cellist, return to Brookings, but this time with a twist! As co-founders of the Valley of the Moon Festival in Sonoma, California, we've asked them to put together a bespoke group of amazing artists to join them on stage. Eric and Tanya have selected outstanding string instrumentalists Liana Berube, Lisa Lee, and Cindy Wu to round out the Quintet.
Eric has degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music, Juilliard, and Yale. He has given several solo recitals and has performed Mozart and Beethoven concertos with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Santa Rosa Symphony and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.
Tanya has performed to critical acclaim on many chamber music series and is renowned especially for her interpretation of the Bach Cello Suites. For the past twenty years Tanya has been one of San Francisco’s Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra's and Portland Baroque Orchestra’s principal cellists and has appeared with both numerous times as soloist.
